The best golf courses in Cerdaña and Fontanals.

Fontanals golf courseFontanals  Architect: J. Hernandez (1995).  18 holes: 6,531m: par 72.

One of the prettiest courses you will ever play.  Fontanals runs along level river flood plain between two ridges of hills, so is easily walked with spectacular views all around.  The on-course vistas are not bad either with plenty of clear blue water and crystal white sand glimmering in the Pyreneen sunshine.
A magical place to play golf.

Cerdaña golf courseCerdana  Architect: Don Javier Arana (1948).  18 holes: 6,242m: par 72.

Cerdaña is the oldest Golf Club in Catalonia, the original 9-hole course (much changed today) dating from 1929.  The current Club has 27-holes of fine parkland golf and a very well todo Membership mainly hailing from Barcelona, which lends the small Clubhouse a very traditional feel.  The land has some hills to it and the holes rise and fall through the well established trees.  Fairways have a good few twists and turns to them and water comes into play too, so placing the ball in the correct areas will greatly enhance your score!

Aravell  Architect: J-M. Olazabal (1998)  18 holes: 6,155m: par 71.

Heading up towards Andorra, the terrain here is high and probably the hilliest of the three golf courses in Cerdaña.  Aravell is a very good test of golf with plenty of slopes to the Fairways, so you will need to plot your way around.  Another remarkably peaceful setting with forest-clad hills all around: wonderful golf if you don't mind a little exertion.
