For a luxurious stay in the heart of Turin the Principi di Piemonte is the place to be. A modern hotel that was totally refurbished in 2009 (practically rebuilt!) it sports a bright, modern interior and sits in the centre of the city surrounded by designer boutiques, caffés and of course, trattorias.

Bedrooms and bathrooms are all in the same bright modern style and even from the standard 'Deluxe' rooms you have good views out over the city as the first floor of bedrooms is the fifth floor of the building: if that makes sense?

The Ground Floor of the hotel holds the bar, breakfast room and the restaurant, all of which are very welcoming and sensibly priced too for a five-star city hotel!  For dining out Turin is bursting with possibilities - no need for the car -keys there are hundreds of places to eat within walking distance of the front door.

One of the super-luxurious features af the Principi di Piemonte is the spa area tucked away below Reception. This is a fully-fledged operation with a good sized pool complete with massage jets et cetera; there are also therapists available for beauty and relaxation treatments or more focused muscular attention your swing create the need!

For a comfortable (and most velcoming) stay in the city centre the recently refurbished Concord hotel is hard to beat.  A long-standing edifice, on the edge of the old part of town, it offers excellent strollability to all the parts of Turin that you'll want to see (not to mention all the places you'll want to eat!).  There is no restaurant at the Concord - but no shortage in the streets around!

Despite its traditional frontage, bedrooms and bathrooms within are very modern having been totally renovated in 2019.  They offer good-sized rooms (even the Standard rooms have plenty of space) and bright, clean bathrooms.

Underneath the Concord they have created a secure car-park which makes life very easy if you are self-driving plus, as the hotel is close to the central station, it is very easy to locate as well.  Between the station and Piazza San Carlo and down to the river Po is for most the very centre of Turin, where you will find the famous antique cafés, arcaded streets, shopping galleries, bars and restaurants.

Between the Royal Park of La Mandria and the city of Turin is the fascinating area known as Venaria Reale is the handily-placed Cascina di Corte hotel.  A boutique establishment that enjoys the perfect location to enjoy the best of Turin and its golf courses.
There is also free parking on offer - a real bonus so close to the city centre.

Every one of the twenty bedrooms at the Cascina is unique; beautifully decorated in a variety of pastel shades and nicely furnished too. Many have exposed beams and original brickwork - truly boutique. Bathrooms are all fresh and amply sized with lashings of hot water.

Breakfast is a 'continental' affair served in the Lounge area beside Reception on the Ground Floor.  There is a restaurant too that is run by a young couple offering traditional Torinese dishes with a touch of their own flare.  Just 50 yards away the main street of Venaria Reale has a dozen or so other good places to eat, plus several caffés and bars  too.

Just fifteen minutes from Margara Golf Club, Tenuta Montemagno has for many years produced some of the finest wines of the Monferrato region.  Part of the original buildings have now been converted into an exquisite hotel with a gastronomic restaurant, surrounded by nothing more than vines.  It is the perfect spot to combine some of Italy's finest wines with two outstanding golf courses: the very best of both worlds.

There are just sixteen characterful bedrooms and Suites at Montemagno, each beautifully crafted into the historic building, parts of which date back to the 16^th Century.  Every room is different, each one lovingly furnished and decorated in a slightly different style but all with a classy touch.  You'll be relieved to know that despite the ancient framework, bathrooms are very 21^st Century!

Roaming the grounds around the tenuta you will find a large outdoor pool, ideal for sunny post-golf relaxation, along with several lounges and quiet courtyard areas for taking in the vineyard views and maybe sampling a chilled glass of white wine or pink bubbles that originated in the landscape before you.  Should you wish for a full-blown tasting of the tenuta's fascinating range (more below) just wander over to their cellars; or we can pre-book this for youand your friends.

When dinner time rolls around, you will be deliciously entertained by the chef's predominantly Piemontese cuisine with just a dash of Mediterranean flavours here and there.  Like everything else at the Tenuta Montemagno the menu is first-class and, needless to say, there is a rather fine wine list alongside!

The Monferrato region of Italy is home to some rather interesting grape varieties. The most famous amongst these is undoubtedly Barolo and Barbera; both are internationally acclaimed, full-bodied reds.  Lesser known grapes such as Grignolino and Ruché only exist in this part of Italy, so you have the chance to try some truly exceptional wines. 

Tenuta Montemagno create a full range of wines: Red, White, Rosé and Sparkling (plus a few Grappas and liquers) so there is sure to be something to please every palate.

If a few bottles take your fancy and you are flying home or your car boot is already full (and you're not quite ready to throw out your clubs just yet!), the Tenuta Montemagno are able to arrange delivery to the Uk for you.

Splendid isolation is the name of the game at Le Betulle. Encircled by Silver Birches (Betulle in Italian), the course and Club is a tranquil hideout just north of Turin in the beginnings of the Piedmont hills.

Beside the Biella Golf Clubhouse there are 20 or so quiet and comfortable rooms furnished and equipped to four-star standards. Bedrooms are a good size, bathrooms too and each has either a patio or a balcony facing nothing but forest. A good night's sleep is assured.

Within the traditional Clubhouse lies a truly excellent restaurant where you can dine in style every evening (it's always open when there are guests at the hotel). In the morning after breakfast you con stroll to the First Tee and play golf with the larks.

If you would like to stay in refined accommodation, next door to a wonderful restaurant, surrounded by 36 magnificent holes of golf and enveloped by acre upon acre of vineyards then Margara Golf Club should be top of your list.

There are Foresteria rooms right beside the Clubhouse that are extremely well appointed (especially when compared to their UK 'Dormy House' equivalents!). Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all available everyday in the Clubhouse. For five-star Clubhouse accommodation, Villa Margara (the founder's house) offers truly splendiid rooms with stylish halls and sitting rooms. The villa is part of the Clubhouse so you won't have far to go for food and drink, or to find the First Tees!

For self-catering style stays at Margara, there are three apartments too. These fully-equipped houses are about 400m from the Clubhouse and here your golfing party can be totally self-contained, living off the rich pickings available all around: or you can stroll over to the Clubhouse if you prefer not to cook!
