The Colón could not be more central in Barcelona: bang in front of the Cathedral.  This makes it perfect for all the sights of Gaudi's city and the fabulous dining options of Barcelona, albeit a little longer to get out to the golf courses each day.

The Colón is a traditional hotel that is well-loved by its current owners and continually refreshed and refurbished to provide elegant accommodation in Barcelona.  Witness to this continual evolution is the roof-top patio with its splash pool and drinks service from where you can watch the sun set on the tourist throng around one of Barcelona's most famous plaças.

The ground floor is delightfully old-school with a couple of drawing rooms for afternoon tea (or sherry), a small restaurant (more tables outside) and its small bar.

Underneath the Cathedral square, i.e. just in front of the hotel, there is an extremely convenient secure car-park, for which the hotel has reduced rates.

The Pullman Skipper has the prime location to enjoy all that the big city of Barcelona has to offer, yet still get out to the golf courses reasonably easily.  It sits on the Olympic Port with its beaches, bars, restaurants and nightclubs, linked to the outside world by a dual carriageway that leads straight onto the autopistas.

The hotel itself is a modern affair with an open-plan reception, breakfast room and bar, plus a small dining area.  Bedrooms are smart and look out over the inner courtyard with its swimming pool and sun-loungers (or the beach is just 100yds away).

From the Pullman Skipper you can either amble along the beach and take the cablecar into the city centre, jump into a cab or onto the metro to satisfy all your Barcelona sightseeing or shopping needs!

Up on the roof you will discover another smaller pool complete with pool-bar and great views over Barcelona and the Mediterranean: down underground you will find the Pullman Skipper's secure car-park.

The Mas Salagros offers a totally different style of Barcelona golf holiday - more of a golf retreat really! It is a brand new 'eco' resort and spa, secluded in the national forest close to the enchanting Vallromanes golf course.  If you would like to mix some new-age escapism with some old-school golfing, this is the spot for you!

The resort has been designed to keep as close to nature as possible with plain rooms that feature reclaimed wood and stone, as does the decor in the central Reception and dining area.

Bedrooms extend across two south-facing buildings and all have balconies to catch the plentiful sunshine.  The spa facilities are remarkable: designed in a quasi-Roman style, with pools and treatment rooms distributed through several ancient barns and cellars that sit close to the original farmhouse.

The Mas Salagros resort is car free, with a car-park at the entrance and steps leading from there up the hillside to the rooms.  Something a little different and much quieter from the norm.
