THE BEST MALLORCA GOLF HOLIDAY HOTELS
Our recommended hotels for a Mallorcan golfbreak.

South of the ebullient town of Santa Ponça, lies the much more sedate marina at Port Adriano.  High above the small harbour, the Port Adriano hotel looks out due west over the comings and going of the pleasure craft.

The hotel is a moderately sized five-star hotel, brand new and designed with every luxury from the ground-up.  Bedrooms are well sized and all have balconies overlooking the port (sunsets are marvellous).  There are spa facilities on the ground floor, with indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and hammam, plus plenty of treatment options.

Drinks are served all day long beside the pool and dinner is usually al fresco too as most evenings are more than warm enough.

Should you wish to dine out, there are half-a-dozen very good restaurants on the quayside, just a couple of minutes stroll away and dozens more to be found in Santa Ponça, although it is realistically too far to walk.

Please note that children are not permitted at the Port Adriano hotel.

Part of the Son Antem golf complex is the large resort hotel (with attached timeshares), which is more like a small leisure village than an hotel in many respects.

Besides the 150 smart modern bedrooms and suites that spread across the grounds, there is a large outdoor pool surrounded by sunbeds on the patio and lawn, plus a pool-side bar, an enormous spa centre (easily the largest on the island) with another large pool (indoors), saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools and all manner of treatments available.  This building also serves as Clubhouse and home to the golf academy.

After play on the two courses you can analyse your round from the comfort of the Llevant courtyard bar and enjoy some of the tapas on offer before moving into the Olivar restaurant for dinner.  Should you wish to dine out, Palma is a mere 15 minutes away.

One of the original seafront hotels in Palma that has seen the rest of the city develop around it whilst in the care of the same family for three generations.

The hotel has been kept nicely up-to-date through a continual evolution of the furnishing and decoration of the bedrooms many of which have a sea-view (at a small supplement) Superior rooms and Suites are available too.

The location is hard to beat in Palma, easy to find on the Paseo Maritimo, overlooking the boats in the harbour from the rooftop terrace where breakfast is served, within strolling distance of the centre of Palma and with a car park right next door: all very handy! 

The Mirador has a small indoor pool plus a spa area, should you be in need of extra relaxation.  For dining there is a relaxed tapas bar within the hotel and plenty more choice of restaurants in the centre of Palma - just a stroll along the quayside.

The Park Hyatt is more of a little village than a hotel or resort to be honest.  It fills the fold in a small hill right beside the Canyamel golf course and close to the village of the same name.

Having been created by the Park Hyatt brand, the resort has an inescapably American feel about it - but this does come with some advantages!  Bedrooms are vast, so is the pool and spa area (lobbies and halls too).

When it comes to dining there is a choice between tapas on the verandah in a very relaxed atmosphere, an Asian restaurant for those who like things a little more spicy plus a Mallorcan restaurant serving more local and traditional fare.

The Park Hyatt has several pools, both indoor and outdoor, plus a whirlpool and plenty of treatments available in the luxury of the spa area.  And of course the beaches are not far away either!
Golfwise the location is near perfect, beside the Canyamel course, very close to the lovely Capdepera Golf Club and not far from both Pula and Alcañada Golf Clubs.
