Chateau Jeanne Hotel**** - Chantilly

Saturday 22nd August

Morning: First competition round at Chantilly GC on their famous Vineuil course.
A serene Club that is widely regarded as the best in France. The Vineuil course has hardly changed since its design by Scotsman Tom Simpson in the early 1900s. The course is an absolute delight and still a stern test of golf despite its age. It has hosted the French Open on many ocassions; winners include Sir Nick Faldo and Seve. The beautifully preserved Clubhouse dates from the same era; the perfect place to soak-up some post-round sun and drink-in the history of French golf.
N.B. There are no buggies at Chantilly G.C. but the course starts with fifteen flat holes, just a gully to cross on sixteen and eighteen!

Afternoon and evening: Freetime to enjoy the hotel pool and spa, or investigate the Château de Chantilly or discover nearby Senlis.

Chantilly Vineuil - golf course

Sunday 23rd August

Morning: Second competition round at Club du Lys.
A tranquil Club with a long and a short course and a well-to-do membership; hidden away amongst the impressive houses of the exclusive residential area 'Les Lys' just south of Chantilly.  We shall be playing the main course 'Les Chênes' another Tom Simpson design that displays all his characteristic subtleties between its mighty oaks. After which, the shady Clubhouse patio makes a delightful spot for lunch.

Afternoon: Freetime.

Evening: Taittinger Champagne reception, followed by dinner in the hotel and of course prize-giving.

Club de Lys - golf course

Monday 24th August

Or maybe stay a few extra days and enjoy the sights of Chantilly, medieval Senlis or perhaps even a night out in Paris?
