The competition is open to all Golf Club members with an official Handicap: winners will be decided by the highest aggregate, Betterball, Stableford score* over the three days of the tournament.
*Full Handicap allowance.
First Prize: £400 Holiday voucher
Second Prize: £200 Holiday voucher
Third Prize: £100 Holiday voucher

The tournament hotel - L'Hermitage La Baule*****

We will be staying in the lap of luxury, facing the Ocean in the middle of La Baule's famous crescent of golden sands at the magnificent five-star Hôtel Hermitage (one of Lucien Barrière's finest). Dining in their restaurant on the first evening and just around the corner at the charming Castel Marie Louise on the last evening. On the nights in between all the restaurants of La Baule are on your doorstep.
Tournament Schedule
Sunday 25th June
Arrival at the Hermitage Hôtel.
Travelling on the overnight ferries from Portsmouth to St. Malo or Caen is the easiest route, alternatively there are day crossings to Cherbourg, Caen, le Havre or even Dieppe. Plymouth to Roscoff is ideal for those living in the West Country or Eurotunnel and a drive across from Calais for those who live near Dover.
Afternoon: Free or perhaps a practice round at La Baule's 9-hole course?
Evening: Cocktail reception and dinner - wines included.

Monday 26th June
Morning: First competition round at La Baule - Bleu.
The Golf International de La Baule has 45-holes of excellent parkland golf and sits just behind the town, so only ten minutes from the tournament hotel.
The 'Bleu' course is the newer of the two 18-hole layouts combining nine of the original Peter Alliss/Dave Thomas design with nine new holes across the road that are more open than the original woodland holes, but danger lurks in the guise of large water hazards instead.
Afternoon & Evening: free.

Tuesday 27th June
Morning: Second competition round at Château de la Bretesche.
Half-an-hour's drive inland across the Brière Nature Reserve to a serene setting for the most beautiful of Châteaux, wreathed in emerald forest through which the twisting, testing course leads you out and (hopefully!) brings you back.
Afternoon & Evening: free.

Wednesday 28th June
A full day off to rest and relax and enjoy all that Brittany has to offer: glorious beaches, medieval walled towns, fascinating salt-flats, punting on the intricate waterways of the Brière Nature Reserve, the rugged Côte Sauvage that extends out to the little fishing port of Le Croisic lined with seafood restaurants, stroll the three miles of golden sand on La Baule's famous beach, a little sailing maybe, try your luck at one of the casinos, some 'me time' in the Royal spa, a little shopping in La Baule's fancy boutiques, a visit to the U-Boat pens at St. Nazaire: too much for just one day!

Thursday 29th June
Morning: Final competition round at La Baule - Rouge.
A fitting end on (most of) the original Peter Alliss designed layout that winds through established woodland with a more open central section and a grandstand finish in front of the Clubhouse beside the lake.
Afternoon: free.
Evening: Reception and prize-giving dinner - wines included.

Friday 30th June
Departure day - or why not stay on and enjoy the long Summer days in Brittany? By the way, there are plenty more golf courses in the area and further north around Carnac and Quimper.
