The Thorpeness Golf Hotel offers just what most golfers want for their golfbreak: a good standard of accommodation, good food, sensible prices and an eminently playable golf course just outside the front door.
The hotel has bedrooms that are generous enough for two golfers sharing in either Double or Twin bed format. Bathrooms are clean and bright with plenty of hot water to soothe any overstretched golf muscles.
The main bar doubles up as the Clubhouse too, so there is a comforting golfy feel between the oak panelling etched with names of past champions. There is always a good snack menu available for post-round revitalisation (not to mention the local Adnams ales).
The food at the Thorpeness Golf Hotel is very good too, so you will be happy to dine-in on every night of your stay in their sunny restaurant overlooking the putting Green. Should you wish to eat out, there is one pub in the village offering simple fayre, which is within strolling distance of the hotel. More elaborate cuisine is on offer down in Aldeburgh but it wil involve a car journey to get there (or a cycle along the beach path?).
