In the perfect golfing location - halfway between Sligo city centre (two miles east) and County Sligo Golf Club at Rosses Point (two miles west) - the Radisson Blu hotel offers modern, comfortable accommodation in just the right place.

Being a modern hotel has huge benefits in terms of bedroom comforts; large rooms make excellent Twins, so perfect for sharing with your golf partners (Doubles are just as suitable for life partners!).  Bathrooms are practically brand new with a healthy supply of hot water - just in case you get caught in the raw wildness of Ireland's Atlantic coast!

The Radisson Blu has a spacious bar that also serves as a lunchtime restaurant for simple dishes.  In the evening, the main restaurant is open for finer dining with plenty of local Irish produce on offer.  For dining out, Sligo has a long list of good restaurants and plenty of traditional bars (and plenty of taxis!) or heading the other way to Rosses Point there are a couple of seaside options, including the unmissable Harry's Bar!

The other attraction of the Radisson Blu is the modern pool and spa area that stands alone at the foot of the hotel (connected via a lift so you won't have to cross the car park in your dressing gown!).  Very welcome for a resaxing dip or sauna should the cool waters of Cooney Bay not appeal.

The Sligo Glasshouse hotel could not be more central - unless it was in the Garravogue river!  From this cutting-edge base you will have all of Sligo on your doorstep.  And, rather conveniently, a car park under your doorstep.

Bedrooms come in a choice of colours depending on the floor you are on and some are alongside the river, however bear in mind that the river makes quite a noise when in spate!

The Glasshouse bar is a popular venue due to its location and the restaurant is too with its long wall of glass looking out over the passing waters.

An unfussy hotel a couple of hundred yards from the centre of Sligo that provides a simple, reliable base for a golf holiday in the West of Ireland.  For golfing parties who are likely to spend more time out of the hotel than in it, The Riverside is ideal.

One of the rather unexpected features of The Riverside is its breakfast room/coffee-bar hanging out over the river; a lovely spot on a sunny day to enjoy a leisurely Full-Irish breakfast or a languid latte later.
