The best golf courses in Burgundy, Beaujolais, Grenoble & Lyon.

Golf Course

Le Gouverneur - Breuil
Architect: D. Fruchet & G. Will.
18 holes: 6535m: par 72.
Le Gouverneur - Montaplan
Architect: D. Fruchet & G. Will.
18 holes: 5959m: par 72.
Two courses set in a secluded nature reserve. Breuil is a very testing proposition from the back tees: Montaplan more forgiving.

La Bresse
Architect: J. Pern.
18 holes: 6217m: par 72.
La Bresse has a great variety of holes. A course that can demand every shot in the book.

Exemplary parkland golf. Host to the French Open a couple of years ago.

Slightly younger, yet similarly styled to Les Sangliers.

Thoroughly enjoyable course at the southern extreme of the Beaujolais vineyards.

Golf Course

Golf Course

Grenoble Charmeil
Architect: J. Pern.
18 holes: 6251m: par 73.
Surrounded by the towering Alps. A very pretty course, with golf to match the scenery.

Architect: H. Lambert.
18 holes: 5550m: par 71.
Mountain golf at an altitude of 1100m. Spectacular views and crisp clear air. Basic clubhouse, but very good hotel/restaurant next door.

  Golf Course

Architect: R. Trent Jones Jnr.
18 holes: 6345m: par 73.
Clambering up and down the alpine foothills. A buggy is probably worth considering.
